humble beginnings
In the early 1980’s Mike Ritchie teamed up with his father Jim to start Ritchie Floors Inc with the intention of filling a gap they saw in the quality custom hardwood flooring industry. Operating in West Chicago with nothing more than a certificate of incorporation, a rented truck, and material picked up daily from the local lumber yard, they set off to build a business that would provide lasting hardwood floors in the western Chicago suburbs for generations to come.
Flash forward a few decades, with the addition of Mike’s son Ryan, Ritchie Floors is now a third generation family owned and operated custom hardwood flooring business based out of Saint Charles, IL. With over 40 years of experience in the industry, and the same values as the day they started, they have the knowledge and expertise to make your home improvement vision a reality.
